Domtar and First Book have teamed up to provide 50 Comfort and Care bags for SWEPS clients. The Diapers and books and bags will surely be a blessing to those who receive them.
The SWEPS Garden Day was a true success. Mike Spranger and friends came in on Monday the 3rd and brought in dirt to mix with fertilizer and fill the tables and buckets. The Tuesday activities went great thanks to Kelly and Janell (Extension office). Activities included planning squares, marking them with flour, learning several planting techniques and actually doing all the planting. Those attending sure had a ton of fun as we planted the SWEPS garden tables, planted garden buckets to take home and planted a few garden buckets to be shared with those who could not attend. Kelly and Janell will be coming back on July 2nd, Aug 6th and Sept 3rd to do additional gardening classed. Watch for updates as the days approach.

(Additional food was collected for Family Center as well.) Thank you carriers and helpers for collecting all that food! Thank you volunteers for processing all that food! And, thank you community members for your generous donations.!
Our shelves are full once again thanks to the efforts of the Boys Scout and their food drive on Saturday 4/13. 6057 pounds of food was collected by the Boys Scout and brought to the Pantry. A team of 26 volunteers from SWEPS and The Family Center sorted and boxed the food. Then off it all went to stock the pantry shelves at both program locations. Thank you to the Boys Scouts, all the volunteers and our generous communities for making this a successful food drive!
We are a collection site for this event! Your help is greatly appreciated.
