The Post Office Carriers from Wisconsin Rapids, Nekoosa, Babcock and Rudolph collected a total of 9811.0 pounds of food for SWEPS Food Pantry. (Additional food was collected for Family Center as well.) Thank you carriers and helpers for collecting all that food! Thank you volunteers for processing all that food! And, thank you community members for your generous donations.!
Our shelves are full once again thanks to the efforts of the Boys Scout and their food drive on Saturday 4/13. 6057 pounds of food was collected by the Boys Scout and brought to the Pantry. A team of 26 volunteers from SWEPS and The Family Center sorted and boxed the food. Then off it all went to stock the pantry shelves at both program locations. Thank you to the Boys Scouts, all the volunteers and our generous communities for making this a successful food drive!
We are a collection site for this event! Your help is greatly appreciated.
The Glacier Lake FNE Group food drive nets 233 pounds of food to help provide the basic food necessities for those in need here in South Wood County.
Ron and Deb Krings were honored this morning, April, 17, at the United Way Annual Volunteer Recognition Breakfast at the Hotel Mead. Selfless service in support of those in need characterizes their actions every single day. They have given their time, their talent, their wisdom and their good nature, and all those who surround them, directly or indirectly, have been uplifted. They are an uncommon gift to us all and SWEPS is so proud they have been honored in this way.
