Ron and Deb Krings were honored this morning, April, 17, at the United Way Annual Volunteer Recognition Breakfast at the Hotel Mead. Selfless service in support of those in need characterizes their actions every single day. They have given their time, their talent, their wisdom and their good nature, and all those who surround them, directly or indirectly, have been uplifted. They are an uncommon gift to us all and SWEPS is so proud they have been honored in this way.
Yes, you read that correctly. We are now having classes at SWEPS.
Once a month SWEPS hosts a class at our location. Classes are one Tuesday afternoon a month from 3:00 to 4:00. Participants, if eligible, then move right up to being first in line for normal food serves. Classes are facilitated by Jody from the UW Extension office here in Wood County. The topics, handouts and incentives change every month. For more information you can call UW Extension office (715-421-8440) or SWEPS (715-422-2050). For registration call the UW Extension office.
